The primary function of the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Georgia ("AAA") is to remove barriers to information about and access to services which support older and disabled Georgians remaining in their homes and communities. This is done primarily through Information & Referral (I&R) and Screening services provided directly by the AAA.

The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Georgia (AAA) administers funding from the following sources:

Title III and Title V of the Older Americans Act Social Service Block Grant USDA Georgia Community Care Act Alzheimer's State Grant
Long Term Care State Supplemental State Community Based Services NSIP State Check-off Counties, Cities and Private Sources

The Area Agency on Aging works to provide connections between service providers and clients through Information & Referral and Screening for services. The provision of services is administered by the AAA through contracts with service-provider agencies.

The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Georgia does not administer any Medicaid programs, nor do we provide prescription drugs at reduced prices or free of charge. However, our Information & Referral staff can help connect you to the agencies and programs that may be able to provide these benefits for you. Please call 1-800-759-2963 for assistance.
